A. I think that there are three factors as to why George ’s heart is softened. One: that he is happy to see his son will get to grow up free. Two: the hospitality that the Quakers are giving to him and his family in God’s name. Three: his wife Eliza is trying to get him to consider God.
B. From chapter 18: meum is Latin for “My”.
C. From chapter 19: non sequitor is Latin for “Not to follow” and dies irce is Latin for “Day” and the other part I could not translate.
