I thought that Chariots of Fire was a very well-made movie with a moving storyline and characters. The acting was well done and the plot and storyline was great. From what I thought of the movie, I wasn't surprised when I found out that in 1981, Chariots of Fire won four Academy Awards and a Best Picture award.
Chariots of Fire is the amazing true story of two of the world's fastest men, Eric Liddell and Harold Abrahams. These men are both driven to run. Eric is a Scot who runs when he isn't working at his parents mission, and Harold is a Semite who runs because he is more of an addict and uses it as a weapon. Both of these men find themselves competing against each other in small-time races. Harold almost gives up running when he barely loses to Liddell. Not to mention, Eric almost quits the Olympics because the heat that he was supposed to run was scheduled on a Sunday, and that he had said that he won't run on a Sunday. Thankfully, a fellow player switched races with Eric so that he could run on Thursday.
Soon, however, they run as a team on Britain's Olympic team in France for the 1924 Summer Olympics. Eric and Harold were pitted against some of the other fastest men in the world such as the Americans Jackson Schultz and Charles Paddock. Although Britain did not win everything, they won some important races. Both Harold and Eric won a gold medal in there events.

Good summary. But what about Liddell's struggle with the call to God's work versus running in the Olympics? What about the struggle with running on Sundays.
